Our Story

We met the modern way: Will slid into my DMs. Then we met in person on May 5, 2016, and somehow we've never left each other's side since!

The proposal happened during a usual picnic at Liberty Park—just us, a blanket, and a perfect Memorial weekend afternoon. And right there, in the middle of our favorite little tradition, Will asked me to marry him. It was simple, sweet, and the easiest question I've ever answered.

Now, a decade later, we're saying in Verona—and we're so excited to celebrate this next chapter with all of you.

Getting to Verona

Getting There

Option 1 — Fly into Milan

Milan Malpensa (MXP). From the airport, take the Malpensa Express from Malpensa Aeroporto T1 to Milano Centrale (be sure to pick a train heading to Centrale, not Cadorna), then connect onward to Verona Porta Nuova. A scenic and popular route.

Option 2 — Fly into Venice

Venice Marco Polo (VCE), then take a short train to Verona Porta Nuova — about 1 hour. Trains depart from Venezia Santa Lucia (on the island) and most also stop at Venezia Mestre (on the mainland), so either works depending on where you're staying.

Option 3 — Fly directly to Verona

Verona Villafranca Airport (VRN). Expect 1–2 layovers. Delta operates routes we recommend.

Frequently Asked Questions

When should I arrive in Verona?

Most guests plan to arrive 1–2 days before festivities begin. This gives you time to settle in after travel, explore the city, and join the welcome events.

  • Friday, October 9 — Welcome Dinner
  • Saturday, October 10 — Ceremony & Reception
  • Sunday, October 11 — Pool Party

What airport should I fly into, and how do I get to Verona?

The closest airport is Verona Villafranca (VRN), about 15 minutes from the city center. Many international guests also fly into Milan Malpensa (MXP) or Venice Marco Polo (VCE) and take a train — usually 1–2 hours. Taxis and rideshares are widely available, and Verona Porta Nuova station connects easily to hotels.

Recommended train apps:

Where should I stay?

We recommend choosing a hotel close to the venue for convenience.

  • Hotel Villa Moron — 30 steps from the venue. You can't get closer.
  • La Fonte Degli Dei Wine Relais — 4 min drive from the venue.
  • Antico Albergo — 6 min drive from the venue.
  • Villa Vitis — 8 min drive from the venue.

What should I wear?

Dress in formal wear; black tie is optional. The ceremony is indoors and the reception will be outdoors. We suggest:

  • Comfortable shoes for cobblestone streets and grassy areas
  • A light layer for cooler evening temperatures

What else is there to do while we're in Verona?

Plenty. Guests love visiting Juliet's House, climbing Torre dei Lamberti, strolling the Adige River, or taking a day trip to Lake Garda or Valpolicella wine country. The city is small enough that you can see a lot without rushing. Check the Travel section above for a full list.

What time should we arrive at the ceremony?

Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early. The ceremony begins at 11:30 AM at Chiesa di Santa Maria in Organo.

Will transportation be provided?

Yes — transportation will be provided for guests staying in the Valpolicella and City Center areas for the welcome dinner. Shuttle service will also be arranged from the church ceremony to the reception venue. More details to come.

What type of meal will be served?

Expect a classic Italian multi‑course dinner featuring regional specialties — antipasti, pasta, a main course, and dessert. If you have dietary restrictions, please include them in your RSVP so the caterer can prepare alternatives.

Is the ceremony indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony is indoors at a Catholic church with a traditional structure — readings, music, and blessings. Seating will be provided and the church is comfortably climate‑controlled. The reception will be outdoors at Relais La Magioca.

Can we take photos during the ceremony?

We kindly request an unplugged ceremony so everyone can be fully present. Please put your phones and cameras away — the couple will share professional photos with you afterward.
